weekend

Weird title, ey? well i couldn't really think of a good one, but i had a mental weekend, on Saturday i went to the Rally day at castlecombe race circuit. and it was unbelievabley amazing, the sounds and the cars it was ooooooooooooo mmmmmmmmmyyyyyyy goooooooddd awesome, Aston Martin were debuting their Prodrive V8 Vantage, the sound was awesome and it looked brilliant, very smooth and elegant, weather its going to be introduced to the rally or not i dont know, but i sure am hopeing it will, it's beautiful and will easily make legendary status. There was all the good audi's aswell, quattro S1 and S2 and other 5 cylinder variants (im not all that knowledgeable on audis) the sound of them, engine noise, turbo whine dumpvalves, blowooff valves, screamer pipes, the sounds were trully awe-inspiring jaw dropping, few things finer. there was also the Lancias, Delta integrale lancia 037 stratos, it was an amazing collection of cars.

There was a slow drive round in Colin McRae's original legacy and of course the famous 555 impreza and 22bs. It was a very moving and fitting tribute, this was a minutes silence, but alot of us at quarry didn't know about it until later in the day but more orless everyone went quiet anyway, it was very stirring and moving, such a sad shame. He normally does a driving display there and a chance for people to meet him, autographs and all that, i was hoping to meet him. but well that wasn't possible.

There was also Chris Evans in an old WRC evo8, and his driving is impeccable, he was within inches of the barrier all the time, he had everyone on edge but the way he controlled the car-it was just like an extension of his body, he was amazing to watch. There was also the Stobart WRC focus with a properly loud anti-lag system, i mean really loud. You could here it over the otherside of the track when a 500+bhp quattro was storming by. It was such a great expierience. Let me know if anyone here went. it was amazing
